BTS Jimin Continues to Dominate: Maintains Billboard Chart Presence for Six Consecutive Weeks
BTS's Jimin remains highly popular in the United States, marking his sixth consecutive week on eight different Billboard charts.
As the first and only Korean solo artist to top the Billboard 'Hot 100,' Jimin's 'Like Crazy' climbed to 36th place on the latest 'Global 200' chart, achieving six weeks of continuous presence.
'Like Crazy' made history by achieving the highest sales in the first week for any Korean solo artist, debuting at 2nd place. Alongside 'Set Me Free Pt.2,' 'Face-Off,' and 'Alone,' Jimin had four songs simultaneously charting.
With this, 'Set Me Free Pt.2,' which debuted at 8th place and stayed on the charts for four consecutive weeks, has charted for seven weeks in a row. This year, including the collaborative song 'VIBE' with Taeyang, which charted five times, Jimin has impressively charted with five songs for a total of 12 weeks.
In the 'Global 200 (excluding the US)' chart, 'Like Crazy' also debuted at 2nd place and charted for six consecutive weeks at 26th place by the sixth week. With 'Set Me Free Pt.2,' 'Face-Off,' and 'Alone,' which charted for seven consecutive weeks, and 'VIBE,' which charted for eight weeks, Jimin's name appeared on the chart for a total of 15 weeks this year.
On the 'World Digital Song Sales' chart, 'Like Crazy,' which astonishingly held the 1st place for three consecutive weeks, rose to 13th place in its fifth week, charting for six weeks. With 'Set Me Free Pt.2' and 'VIBE,' which both debuted at 1st place and charted for five and six weeks respectively, Jimin has set a record of five 1st places with three songs this year.
On the main Billboard album chart, the 'Billboard 200,' Jimin's 'FACE' album, which debuted at 2nd place - the highest for any Korean solo artist - ranked 157th in its sixth week. The album, which debuted at 1st place in its first week, was ranked 20th and 17th on the 'Top Album Sales' and 'Top Current Album' charts respectively in its sixth week.
On the 'Billboard World Album' chart, Jimin, who made history with the longest-ever 1st place for an Asian solo album for four consecutive weeks, ranked 4th in its sixth week. He also charted for seven consecutive weeks at 85th place on the 'Artist 100' chart, setting a record for a Korean solo artist.
Having started his solo activities after ten years, Jimin chose a meaningful collaboration with Taeyang on 'VIBE,' which isn't a song by a famous foreign pop singer, and climbed to 76th place on the 'Hot 100.' His Korean song 'Set Me Free Pt.2,' which contains his own story, hit 30th place, while his historical song 'Like Crazy' topped the chart. This year, Jimin has achieved a remarkable feat of charting with three songs for seven weeks on the 'Hot 100.'
Meanwhile, Jimin, who is spending his first year as a solo artist surpassing the limits of K-pop and striking the global music market, continues to draw attention. His upcoming involvement in the soundtrack for the forthcoming movie 'Fast & Furious 10' has once again stirred up global interest, raising expectations for his future activities
