TWICE Triumphs in Australia: All Shows Sold Out for 5th World Tour
Girl group TWICE successfully held their first solo concerts in Australia, satisfying fans who had been eagerly waiting.
TWICE kicked off their 5th world tour, 'TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR 'READY TO BE',' on April 15-16 at the KSPO DOME in Seoul. After about four years, they started the new world tour with the support of their fans' powerful voices. In May, TWICE headed to Australia for a total of four concerts in Sydney (2nd-3rd) and Melbourne (6th-7th), where they met local fans with great excitement.
This concert marked the first time TWICE held a solo concert in Australia since their debut, making it even more special. The initial concerts in Sydney and Melbourne, which were originally scheduled for one show each, sold out at lightning speed as soon as the tickets were released. Due to the explosive support, an additional show was decided for each city, and these shows also quickly sold out, achieving a full sell-out for all performances. TWICE responded with a rich and fulfilling lineup, including a medley of their title tracks, colorful solo stages, and thrilling band performances.
As 'READY TO BE' TWICE appeared on a huge LED screen, the audience gasped in awe, and when the members revealed themselves on stage, the venue was filled with cheers and applause. They performed their title track 'SET ME FREE' from their mini 12th album, which ranked 2nd on the 'Billboard 200' chart, and their English singles 'MOONLIGHT SUNRISE' and 'The Feels,' which charted on the 'Hot 100.' From 'CHEER UP' to 'Talk that Talk,' the members sang globally beloved title tracks, heating up the atmosphere. Most of their setlist was presented as band performances, showcasing their fantastic stage presence and shining individual talents through solo stages.
TWICE actively communicated with their fans, filling the seats and getting closer to them. Fans also danced and sang along, reacting passionately to every moment of TWICE's performance. Concluding their special first-ever concerts in Australia, TWICE said, "We had a very happy and enjoyable time with ONCEs, just as we have always done. We will cherish this moment and promise to come back soon," expressing their gratitude for the love and hospitality they received.
With an expanded scale and scope, TWICE's world tour continues as they head to Japan to further fuel the excitement. As the first K-pop girl group to perform in a Japanese stadium, they will reconfirm their top popularity in the country. TWICE's Japanese concerts as 'stadium artists' will be held on May 13-14 at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka and May 20-21 at Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo.
