Following Jessica, Choo Ja-hyun Joins Chinese Audition Show: Actress Takes on Girl Group Debut Challenge
Actress Choo Ja-hyun is set to appear on a Chinese audition variety show.
On April 28, Mango TV announced the first broadcast date of the audition variety show 'Rising Wind 2023' and released a preview video through their official Weibo and other social media channels.
The preview video captures the eye with the audition participants in their red dress code, confidently showcasing their charm to the camera. Among the contestants, actress Choo Ja-hyun stands out, drawing attention. Other notable contestants include f(x)'s Amber, and Celina Jade, who is known as the wife of former Super Junior member Han Geng.
'Rising Wind 2023' is the fourth season of the survival audition program 'Rising Wind Blue Wave' that challenges female celebrities aged 30 and above to re-debut. In the previous season, Girls' Generation's Jessica appeared on the show and garnered attention. Jessica eventually secured her debut in a project girl group by finishing in second place.
However, Choo Ja-hyun has enjoyed great popularity in China since taking the lead role in the Chinese adaptation of 'Temptation of Wife,' a drama titled 'Temptation of Returning Home,' back in 2011. She has also recently appeared in tvN's 'Little Women' and Netflix's 'Squid Game,' sparking conversations. With her appearance on 'Rising Wind 2023,' she resumes her activities in China after about six years, taking on the challenge of joining a Chinese girl group.
Meanwhile, Mango TV's audition variety show 'Rising Wind 2023,' featuring Choo Ja-hyun, is set to premiere on May 5th at 12 PM.
