BTS Nominated For Three Awards In Upcoming 2020 MTV Video Music Awards
In the upcoming MTV VMA's, K-pop favorite, BTS, is looking to set another milestone to their list of awards by being nominated in three categories in the award show.
This year, BTS is nominated in three categories in the 2020 MTV VMA's, namely Best Choreography, Best Pop, and Best Kpop. This year marks the third consecutive row the Kpop Idols are nominated for an award in U.S. Billboard Chart setting.
Other nominees for the Best Pop are Halsey's "You Should Be Sad," Jonas Brother's "What A Man's Gotta Do," Justin Bieber's "Intentions" ft. Quavo, Lady Gaga "Rain on Me" ft. Arianna Grande and Taylor Swift's "Lover."
In the Best K-pop category, nominees are BTS's "On," (G) I-DLE's "Oh My God," EXO's "Obsession," MONSTA X's "Someone's Someone," TXT's "9", Three Quarter's "Run Away," and Red Velvet's "Psycho." This is the second time the K-pop category is included in the MTV VMA's formed last year.
Joining BTS in the Best Choreography are CNCO and Natti Natasha's "Honey Boo," Dababy's "Bop," Dua Lipa's "Physical," Lady Gaga's "Rain on Me" ft. Arianna Grande, and Normandi's "Motivation."
This year, The MTV VMA's added a new award category to their list. This includes the Best Quarantine Performance and Best Music Video From Home. The 2020 MTV VMA's will be live in New York with performances across the five boroughs and will air on August 30th, 8 p.m. ET/PT. The VMA's have begun voting for 15 categories.
BTS Working On New English Single
In other news, BTS is in the works of a new single, this time, it is sung in English. The group announced earlier this week of plans in composing an English song for the Billboard Music Charts.
BTS referred to it as a "breakthrough during these unforeseen times." However, fans are concerned if the upcoming single could top in the Billboard Charts.
