On July 23, IU joined his co-star in “Hotel Del Luna,” Yeo Jin Goo, and with Sung Dong II, whom she worked on “Scarlet Heart: Goryeo.”

PD Kang Koong, revealed in the recent interview with Maeil Business Newspaper’s Star Today, that Yeo Jin Goo personally contacted IU to guest for the show, and it came true.

According to the producing director, they conducted a pre-interview with IU after she agreed to guest in the program. The singer-actress shared that Yeo Jin Goo is not the type of person who quickly calls and asks people for favors, but he contacted her and said if she could hang up at their house, she replied yes. “Of course, I will.” She expressed that she is grateful for their friendship developed in their previous project and noted that she could thank Yeo Jin Goo all day for asking the favor.

Furthermore, the director talked about the reunion of the lead stars of “Hotel Del Luna.” He said that both are so happy seeing each other again after a while. He continued that it is clear that they both have a great relationship after seeing them taking care of each other. "Now, it is our job to convey the connection to the show in the most beautiful way," he said.

The preview of the next episode also showed that Block B’s P.O. would be joining IU as a guest on the trip. Kang Koong revealed that Yeo Jin Goo wanted to introduce him to the older guys as a surprise gift, so he secretly invited him. “He invited P.O. so they could meet for the first time in a while and make memories on the show. It will be heartwarming to watch.”
