Taeyang to Make First Appearance on 'Space Empathy', Teases Surprise Solo Performance
Singer Taeyang is set to appear on EBS's "Space Empathy."
When the "Space Empathy" production team revealed the lineup for the May performances, they announced that the first performance, opening the month, would be held at 8 pm on May 2nd (Tuesday). They shared, "We are preparing a surprise gift-like stage for music fans with a musician who has never appeared on the show before." Many music fans have been speculating about the protagonist while expressing their excitement.
As the main vocalist and dancer of the group 'BIGBANG,' Taeyang is a musician who truly shines on stage. With his unique groove and unrivaled vocals, he began his solo career in 2008 and immediately gained recognition for his musicality, winning two awards at the "Korean Music Awards."
With numerous hits as a solo artist, including 'Only Look at Me,' 'Eyes, Nose, Lips,' and 'Wedding Dress,' Taeyang has established himself as a great genre artist without the label of an idol, continuing his active career with an unending passion and exploration for music. At 6 pm on April 25th, 2023, he is preparing to release his EP 'Down to Earth,' marking his first release since his third full-length album in 2017.
In a preliminary meeting with the production team, Taeyang expressed, "I want to share more musical stories through this 'Space Empathy' stage." He is currently preparing a rich setlist, including rearranged new songs that match the atmosphere of the small theater Space Hall with an audience of around 200 people, as well as hit songs like 'Eyes, Nose, Lips,' which he hasn't performed frequently recently. In particular, he plans to engage passionately with fans by showcasing songs from his new EP 'Down to Earth,' including the title track 'Seed (In My Heart).' On this day, Taeyang will present all of his stages with a band set.
