Actress Kim Jeong-hwa opened up about her husband Yoo Eun-sung's brain cancer diagnosis, saying, "After my mother, I faced my husband's cancer. It felt like everything was falling apart."

On the April 10th episode of SBS's "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny," the couple joined as a new couple on the show, capturing the audience's attention. Yoo Eun-sung, a CCM singer and composer, expressed his love for his wife and shared how people called them "Beauty and the Beast" when they announced their marriage.

Kim Jeong-hwa praised her husband's passionate personality, highlighting his multiple roles as a practical music professor, broadcaster, café entrepreneur, and performance planner. She said, "His passion for his work was attractive to me. I admired it and eventually married him."

Kim Jeong-hwa shared that her husband was diagnosed with a low-grade neuroglioma during a comprehensive examination at a screening center due to ongoing headaches. They received a brain cancer diagnosis at a university hospital as well. Yoo Eun-sung said, "I was sorry. I didn't want to be a burden to my wife and children. I cried alone in the dark without my family knowing."

Kim Jeong-hwa tearfully recalled the three months from the initial examination to deciding on surgery, saying, "It was like hell. I prayed every day that he wouldn't need surgery, even if it meant living with the tumor." The couple later received the opinion that surgery was not immediately necessary, for which they were grateful.

The family's love-filled home was revealed, where Kim Jeong-hwa and their two sons eagerly greeted Yoo Eun-sung after work. The harmony in the household was evident, with the family holding meetings and their ten-year-old and eight-year-old sons showing maturity and concern for their father.

The next day, Kim Jeong-hwa and Yoo Eun-sung were shown receiving treatment at a cancer immunotherapy clinic. Yoo Eun-sung hid his pain, showing a bright side for his struggling wife. Kim Jeong-hwa, reminded of her late mother who also battled cancer, cried as she spoke of facing cancer again 11 years later. She said, "It feels like everything is falling apart, but unlike before, I can hold on because of our children."
