BLACKPINK Surpasses Ariana Grande To Become Female Artist With The Most YouTube Subscribers
BLACKPINK is now officially recognized as the female artist with the highest YouTube followers and subscribers!
It was revealed on July 24, at 8:00 a.m. KST, through their main YouTube channel, that BLACKPINK had accumulated 42,300,000 subscribers in total.
Today, the band has surpassed international artists like Ariana Grande, who owns over 42,200,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel, and Taylor Swift, who has nearly 38,500,000 subscribers.
Katy Perry, who has almost 37,700,000 subscribers, also became one of the most followed and subscribed female artists on the music streaming site. (via Allkpop)
YouTube channel subscribers are amongst the metrics that statistically prove an artist's remarkable success and recognition. YG Entertainment commented. Time Magazine's Time 100 Next, a compilation of 100 big names globally, was announced in November 2019 in which included the South Korean girl band BLACKPINK.
Forbes Korea Power Celebrity listed BLACKPINK as the leading South Korean personality in 2019 and the third most influential people in the present year. As early as March 2020, BLACKPINK was the most famous Korean artist of Instagram, with Lisa, Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoo as the leading most-followed public personalities in the said platform.
