Ong Seong Wu In Talks For Another Lead Role This Year
Ong Seong Wu will be back to star in a drama soon.
On May 13, a representative from its industry reported that the Ong Seong Wu would be leading the upcoming KakaoTV drama 'How About a Cup of Coffee?' The story is based on the Korean comic manhwa of the same name written by Heo Young Man.
In response to the said report, KakaoTV released a statement that the upcoming original drama 'How About a Cup of Coffee?' is being prepared. On the other hand, they are still working on the casting to choose the best for the drama.
The OTT platform also added that Ong Seong Wu already received a casting offer to lead the drama and positively review it.
Ong Seong Wu received the offer to play as Kang Go Bi. A man whose passion oozes out for coffee. It led him to become a rookie barista in a coffee shop that Park Seok owns. Kang Go Bi learned more about coffee and people through the life lessons of Park Seok.
If Ong Seong Wu will accept the offer, this is his first drama since the romantic comedy-drama 'More Than Friends' in 2020. It tells the story of Kyung Woo Yeon (Shin Ye Eun), a young, innocent, and carefree girl like any eighteen-year-old might be.
She has ambitions and dreams and a heart ready to love and relatively make it short; she fell for her friend Lee Soo (Ong Seong Wu). She did not know that Lee Soo also has a crush on her with her head over the clouds.
Unfortunately, a simple misunderstanding kept them from confessing their feelings to each other. With a decade of feelings, Woo Yeon and Lee Soo began to realize that their feelings for each other became more robust as they kept it hidden.
