'True Beauty' Slammed With Negative Comments After Sharing Alleged Final Shoot Group Photo
Netizens were angered after an image post from the hit drama True Beauty's last day of filming circulated online without following COVID-19 guidelines.
With the vast effect of COVID-19 in different regions globally, the world remains steady in making its efforts to end the pandemic as many countries follow strict quarantine rules. And South Korea is one of the countries with such strict COVID19 quarantine guidelines and measures.
The Adjustments Made By South Korean Entertainment Industries Amid Pandemic
It has been made known previously that South Korea had once taken control of the number of COVID19 outbreaks. However, as Korean citizens began to travel outside, there was a recorded surge in infections.
The local governments then strengthen the quarantine guidelines due to the increase in COVID19 patients. The said protocols were made in an attempt to decrease the number of infected individuals.
On collective gatherings during the holiday season, the local governments such as the Seoul Metropolitan government offices issued a ban. This prevented more than five people from gathering in one location.
Furthermore, as netizens complained that celebrities do not portray good examples of following the quarantine measures, the broadcast stations changed guidelines showing celebrities follow these strict rules by wearing masks on TV.
And since then, as film production teams closely follow quarantine guidelines while producing dramas and movies, there have been significant changes even in the entertainment industries. However, recently, the Korean netizens became utterly speechless as a group photo of a popular drama's production team circulated online.
The Hit Drama Now Talked About Not Following Protocols
One netizen posted a photo in an online community and expressed their disappointments and anger at the production team that was seen not following any of the guidelines.
The production team of numerous people is seen in the photo that is not seen wearing masks and is closely huddled together to take a group photo.
As further revealed, it turned out that the photo belonged to the production team of True Beauty and seemed like a group photo celebrating the drama's final filming.
With all these seen, the angry Korean netizens gathered to the online community to criticize the production team. They commented, "This makes me angry. Only about ten people wore masks, and the rest of the hundred people are not," "Why are these people not fined for collective gathering?" and "Do the people in the entertainment industry think they have a superhuman immune system?"
