Cre.ker Entertainment Releases Apology In Behalf of ‘The Boyz’
The agency of The Boyz's Sunwoo, Cre.ker Entertainment, posted an apology in response to his unlawful actions.
Debates around the online community have circulated after The Boyz's updated their group's Twitter account with a series of beach photos.
According to Allkpop, the incident occurred on the 9th of July after a few members greeted fans via a series of social media updates that shared the boys' photos during their summer beach trip.
The rumors began to develop after the group's online followers saw something on Sunwoo's hand that seemed like a cigarette.
As per Soompi, the majority of South Korea beaches are designated as non-smoking areas by law as they are facilities for public use. An individual can be fined 100,000 won (approximately $83.3) if caught doing the act and violating the law.
It seems this discussion concluded because at 11:59 PM KST on the 10th of July, both Sunwoo and his agency, Cre.ker Entertainment posted an apology simultaneously.
The agency shared an apology letter to the public, saying, "We wish to apologize for causing concern once again by not following the norms of public space. Not only Sunwoo but all the members who were there with him, all recognize with a heavy heart that this was wrong and are sincerely reflecting." Via Soompi.
Cre.ker Entertainment also stated that they take full responsibility for their talents' actions and apologize to all who felt uncomfortable with what happened.
Meanwhile, netizens posted their dismay with Sunwoo's actions that somehow affect his group's image.
"The media won't see this incident too positively." one netizen commented. Another one stated, "They should have been clear about what he did wrong in the apology. We don't know what it means when they said he broke the regulations."
Another fan reacted, "So, he did smoke at the beach." Another one said, "Smoking on the beach is the worst .he probably threw that cigarette on the beach." [Via Allkpop]
