Fans Air Their Sentiments Regarding Big Hit's 2021 New Year's Eve Live Concert's Expensive Tickets
As much as many fans feel excited about the upcoming 2021 New Year's Eve Live presented by Weverse, others think that the price is too high for a concert.
Big Hit Entertainment, on November 12, has finally revealed the details for their upcoming 2021 New Year's Eve Live presented by Weverse.
The New Offline Concert Setup And Lineup Of Performers
As reported previously, the event will be held online and offline. The offline concert will be according to government guidelines and will be limited. The seating will be spaced far apart. If the offline show is canceled due to government regulations, the concert will only be held online, and fans will get their tickets refunded.
NU'EST, ENHYPEN, GFRIEND, TXT, Lee Hyun, Bumzu, as well as BTS are the final lineup of the event.
The Eye-Popping Ticket Price
Several fans have expressed their complaints about the event's ticket price in the middle of excitement among the many. The event's "cheapest" ticket price will be KRW 154,000 (roughly USD 138).
Furthermore, fans will have to pay KRW 88,000 more to those who want to see the soundcheck and red carpet for a ticket that costs KRW 242,000 (roughly USD 217).
The events' most expensive ticket costs KRW 275,000 (roughly USD 247). This amount includes the unique "FUN KIT."
More Shocking Concert Rules
Aside from the tickets being sold at a high price, the said tickets are sold randomly. Fans who are eager to witness the event will not be able to choose their seat or area.
On the other hand, the offline concert will be taking place at the KINTEX Convention & Exhibition Center. The venue is even known for its poor stage visibility.
Fans' Reactions
Many were astounded by the pricing and setup after releasing the ticket prices on the web and social media sites. With this, several fans took to the social media accounts and expressed their sentiments. Some comments on the web read, "I am a fan, but this time, I think Big Hit has gone too far," "The price is too high for minor fans like me," "The ticket price is not a joke. It's almost 2 or 3 times more expensive than other idol concerts," and more.
