After the messy separation that included a bitter exchange of messages on Instagram, the celebrity ex-couple, Goo Hye Sun and Ahn Jae Hyun, is scheduled to attend divorce mediation on July 15 after Ahn Jae Hyun filed for divorce back in September 2019.

After three years of what everyone thought to be a fairy tale marriage, the relationship between the two took an ugly turn when Goo Hye Sun decided to expose their private messages, revealing the real status between the husband and wife in the process.

Goo Hye Sun posted Ahn Jae Hyun’s messages on her personal Instagram account on August 18, 2019 with the caption, “After we lost our spark, my husband has had a change of heart and wants a divorce, and I want to stay married."

She wanted to reveal her side of the story before any allegations were made against her by Ahn Jae Hyun. She deleted the posts on her account by evening that same day.

The couple’s agency that time, HB Entertainment, confirmed the news after the incident stating, “Despite encouragements and anticipations from many people, the two actors have recently reached a point where they can no longer continue their marriage life due to various problems and decided to part ways after serious discussions.”

A series of cryptic posts followed in the next few days from Goo Hye Sun’s Instagram account, including accusing Ahn Jae Hyun of cheating with his co-star at that time, Oh Yeon Seo.

Oh Yeon Seo’s agency denied the accusation, threatening to take legal action against Goo Hye Sun. Ahn Jae Hyun then proceeded to file for a divorce on September 9, 2019.

Back on June 19 this year, the Seoul family court ordered a court-officiated mediation regarding Goo Hye Sun and Ahn Jae Hyun's divorce file.

If both sides work out a settlement through a court-officiated mediation, the divorce will be carried out without a formal lawsuit, Allkpop reported.
