BTS returns to NBC's "The Today Show" to talk about their new hit single "Dynamite"!
BTS made a remote appearance on the August 24 episode of the American morning show for an interview regarding their record-breaking and chart-topping new English-language single "Dynamite."
The superstars on the interview were asked why they decided to release their first-ever all-English language track. RM shared that when they first listen to the demo, it immediately captured their interests and made them love the record in an instant. With their first impression, they told themselves, "Why not do it this way?" so the septet kept the demo and recorded it, which also became a new challenge for the group.
V expressed his thoughts, saying that he hopes their fans will draw a lot of energy from the song.
The group's last appearance on "The Today Show" was recorded in February when the group released their album "Map of the Soul: 7," where massive fans gathered and showed up to witness the boys be interviewed.
When asked about what they think when they look back during that time, Suga shared that they missed the fun. "We love to go back and do it again soon."
"The Today Show" also talked about the postponed world tour of BTS due to the COVID-19 pandemic and noted the social distancing measures as they broadcast live their fans' activities. Jimin expressed that what happened is a healing process for them, but as they are now creating a new album. They realize that there's something that they can do.
RM added that the new album they are working is going to be unique and fresh and will be a little different from their latest single "Dynamite."
Lately, BTS and their agency Big Hit Entertainment donated $1 million to Black Lives Matter in which the ARMYs matched. Suga shared that they contributed to their hope of making this world a better place. He continues that they do not consider their action as a great deed, but they are happy that many people could relate with their move and, in return, take action in their end.
Moreover, when the septet was asked about how much they want to see their fans, RM exclaimed that they missed their fans so much, and they can't wait to see them when everything returns to normal.
BTS will be making their first performance on the VMA's, where fans can catch them live, which begins at 8 PM on August 30, ET/PT.
