The repercussions from the so-called "Kid President" controversy involving IVE's member Jang Won-young continue to create ripples. The initial Mom Cafe members, who criticized Jang's actions, are now facing backlash. Amidst this, former legislator Jeon Yeook has also raised her voice, turning the issue hotter.

Recently, a video went viral where Jang Won-young was seen startled and stepping back when a young boy of elementary school age suddenly approached her and tried to touch her arm. The clip, which appears to have been shot overseas, shows the boy suddenly approaching Jang and gesturing to grab her arm. In response, Jang, looking surprised, quickly dodged him. The boy also soon turned away and left the scene.

This video sparked a heated debate among the online community Mom Cafe, largely populated by housewives. Some members commented, "My child likes Jang Won-young too, this was too much", "Can't she even give a single smile?", and "She acted as if she was touched by something harmful", criticizing Jang's actions. The situation escalated to the point where they harshly criticized her character.

Criticism was high because Jang Won-young did not act as the so-called "Kid President". Many posts empathized with the boy as their own child and reprimanded Jang.

However, these assertions by some members of the Mom Cafe were soon perceived as selfish opinions that didn't consider Jang's situation. The sudden approach and physical touch from a stranger, regardless of the fact that it was a young child, is an extremely unexpected and sensitive situation. Celebrities are known to often feel threatened to the point of fearing for their life in such instances. In fact, it's quite unusual for a top star like Jang Won-young to passively protect herself by moving away rather than actively rejecting the touch.

This backlash led to a division and debate within the Mom Cafe itself.

On the other hand, on the 26th, former legislator Jeon Yeook criticized the Mom Cafe members in a post on her blog. Jeon wrote, "Mom Cafe criticized 'how can Jang Won-young do that to a child'", and continued, "The elementary school boy liked Jang Won-young, that's why he did it. But should my child smile 'forever' if someone touches him because he's cute and adorable? Would you say 'Why did you make the child feel bad when he touched you because you are beautiful?'"

Moreover, she scolded, "Is Jang Won-young a toy for that child?" and "They criticize even Jang Won-young's character because they didn't like her expression". She added, "Once a negative post is up on the Mom Cafe, the 'absolute power' makes local cafes, restaurants, hospitals, etc. close their doors. Samuel Huntington said 'absolute power absolutely corrupts'. When you see Korean Mom Cafes, you'll say 'exactly' and clap your knees." She pointed out the distorted collective actions of some members of the Mom Cafe.
