IVE member Jang Wonyoung is drawing attention as she faces criticism from some members of a parenting forum for her stiff expression when a child attempted to touch her.

Recently, a post has been made in an online community, including a video of Jang Wonyoung on the move and a statement that she was involved in an 'attitude controversy' in a parenting forum.

The video shows a child approaching Jang Wonyoung without any intervention, reaching out to touch her. Taken aback, Jang Wonyoung stepped back and continued walking. Following her, fellow member Gaeul also showed a surprised expression. The child was soon restrained by a staff member.

The controversy started when this video was posted in the parenting forum. Some members pointed out that Jang Wonyoung wore a stern expression when the child tried to touch her. The argument was that, as a popular member, she should have managed her facial expressions to prevent the child from being hurt.

Comments of disappointment included, "It's disappointing that she didn't treat a young fan kindly," and "Her true attitude came out in that moment."

Conversely, others responded, "Even elementary school students will be surprised if someone suddenly touches them. Ordinary people don't like others touching their bodies," and "Touching someone else's body carelessly is wrong."

Netizens are divided on the issue. Some argued, "This is why there are issues with parenting forums," and "Is only your child precious?" On the other hand, other netizens said, "Let's not incite conflict" and "We should avoid excessive criticism."

Meanwhile, IVE's agency, Starship Entertainment, announced a strong response to so-called 'cyber school violence' through a statement on the 25th.

Starship Entertainment stated, "From November 2022, we have been proceeding with civil and criminal lawsuits against 'Anti-fan Detention Center' through law firm LEEU (Attorney at law Jung Kyung Seok), as well as lawsuits abroad."

The company continued, "It is well known that the 'Anti-fan Detention Center' has been spreading false information about our artists, IVE members, causing serious defamation, and has interfered with our business. This was also admitted by the 'Anti-fan Detention Center' operator in a post on Nate Pann. Regardless of the authenticity or sincerity of the 'Anti-fan Detention Center' apology, we will hold them fully responsible for past illegal actions through the ongoing lawsuit."
