Ongoing controversies continue to shroud K-Pop group FIFTY FIFTY. The recent closure of the band's official fan cafe has furthered the fanbase's concerns.

On June 27th, the band's management company, Attrakt, clarified that the cafe's closure was not their initiative. They announced, "It has been confirmed that the closure notice was uploaded due to unauthorized account hijacking by external forces." Attract assured fans that measures were being taken for the smooth operation of the fan cafe and prevention of recurrence.

The news comes amidst Attrakt's declaration of its litigation against The Givers Co., Ltd., represented by Seong-il Ahn and three others. "A complaint was lodged with the Gangnam Police Station against them," Attrakt revealed. According to the entertainment agency, The Givers was previously contracted for project management services but had hindered operations through activities like work transfer delays and deleting company email accounts.

Further claims indicate that The Givers allegedly purchased the rights for the song "CUPID" from an overseas composer, without informing Attrakt. The accusation states that they secretly bought the copyright for their company without sharing information about the copyright purchase with Attrakt.

Earlier, it was revealed that FIFTY FIFTY's agency was experiencing internal disputes. In May, the agency disclosed that member Aran underwent surgery, leading to a two-month recovery period, during which all members were given rest. Attrakt claimed that external forces, seeking to enter into new contracts, were attempting to mislead the artists into disregarding their valid exclusive contracts.

The agency suggested the involvement of an external contractor and Warner Music Korea in the attempt to take away members. However, Warner Music Korea, responsible for their overseas distribution, categorically denied these allegations, expressing their regret over such baseless claims.

Meanwhile, FIFTY FIFTY made a splash with their song "CUPID," which was released in February and entered the major US Billboard 'Hot 100' chart. The track gained significant traction overseas through short-form content, marking FIFTY FIFTY's record as the fastest entry into Billboard by a K-Pop girl group and earning them the title of 'Miracle of Small and Medium Enterprises'.
